When trav­el­ling in remote Cen­tral Aus­tralia there are cer­tain pre­cau­tions that need to be tak­en into account. 

• Please be aware that there are no water­holes. You MUST car­ry more than enough water with you at all times. 
• There is also lim­it­ed mobile phone recep­tion, so a satel­lite phone is recommended. 
• You should noti­fy some­one about your trav­el plans, espe­cial­ly if you are plan­ning on climb­ing Mt Zeil. An esti­mat­ed time­frame will facil­i­tate any search and res­cue activ­i­ty and fur­ther emer­gency awareness.
